What documents are needed to study in Costa Rica? Higher education is the pride of the country. The state has four state universities: Instituto Tecnologico, UNA, UCR and Universidad Nacional a Distancia. In addition, there are private universities (about 100). Almost any specialty can be found in them. Foreigners can study both in private and in state universities. To do this, a foreign national needs to submit the following documents:
  • Secondary education certificate, which is legalized by the Embassy of this country.
  • International passport.
  • Birth certificate, which is legalized by the Embassy of this country.
Higher education: annual cost
State universities – about three thousand dollars. Private universities – from five to seven thousand dollars. Training is conducted in Spanish and English. If you do not know either of these two languages, there are (intensive) courses in this country. The cost could be $ 100 per week. Diplomas from local public and private universities are highly rated internationally. WEB designers, computer specialists, engineers and programmers are in great demand.
