How much does higher education costs in Costa Rica?

The educational system in Costa Rica is one of the best in Latin America. Illiteracy has been eradicated in Costa Rica. Primary education (grades 1 through 6) is free for both local and foreign citizens. Secondary education (seventh to eleventh grade) is free at public colleges. There is a large selection of private colleges in the country, some of which specialize in teaching in European languages.

Higher education in Costa Rica is the pride of the country. Both public and private universities operate in the country. Education for foreign citizens can be carried out at public or private universities. To do this, a foreign citizen must submit the following documents:

  • International passport
  • Birth certificate legalized by the Embassy of Costa Rica.
  • Certificate of secondary education, legalized by the Embassy of Costa Rica.

Public universities can cost around $ 3000.
Private universities are approximately $ 5000-7000. Training in English and Spanish. Diplomas from Costa Rican Public universities and some private universities are highly rated internationally.
