Flights inside the country from city to city

Flying is a great and easy way to travel around Costa Rica, especially to more remote regions. These remote areas, such as the Osa Peninsula, are often difficult to reach.

If you are in Costa Rica looking for a convenient way to travel, you can take advantage of one of the local airlines. They offer not only reasonable-priced domestic flights but also daily scheduled flights.

Domestic flights in Costa Rica

The four airlines that fly regularly to Costa Rica are Skyway, Sansa, Aerobell and Air Caribe. With these airlines, you can travel to at least 14 different destinations across the country, all connected from major hubs, San Jose and Liberia.

With these airlines, you can fly not only to major cities, but you can also fly to remote areas such as Puerto Jimenez Domestic Airport in Puntarenas South or La Fortuna / Arenal Domestic Airport in Alajuela.

It is worth noting that most of the main hubs of the airlines are San Jose International Airport.

Keep in mind that, as with most things, the peak tourist season will push up demand for these domestic airlines and prices will rise. Book early to secure your seat and lock it at a great price.
